What’s would be my schedule?
Carriers sign a contract to deliver the Yuma Sun 365 days a year. The paper is published daily, and it’s your responsibility to make sure subscribers receive it.
What’s a typical night like?
Your day starts by picking up newspapers from the Yuma Sun between 12:00 AM and 1:00 AM.

Collect your bundle of papers for the night.

Depending on weather, you may need to bag them in plastic sleeves.

Load up your vehicle and head out on your route.
Each carrier delivers the same route every night, guided by a detailed Route Book that lists every stop, delivery instructions, and turn-by-turn directions.
All deliveries must be completed by 6:00 AM Monday–Saturday and 7:00 AM on Sundays. Once you’re finished, your night is done!
How long does it take?
Most routes include 75-125 papers and take about 2–4 hours to deliver.
What do I need to qualify?

A backup substitute you can rely on if you’re unavailable

What does it pay?
Contract pay ranges from $150 to $300 per week, depending on the size of your route. Payment is issued weekly by check or EFT deposit.
Can I have help?
Yes! You may have someone assist you with deliveries or cover your route if you’re sick or away, as long as they meet the same qualifications (vehicle, license, insurance, etc.).
What is my professional status?
Carriers are independent 1099 contractors, not employees of the Yuma Sun. One benefit of this status is that you may qualify for tax deductions, such as gas and vehicle expenses.
